Ashley Hunter attended The Blake School in Minneapolis, MN before graduating from Middlebury College in 1998 with a BA in Psychology. After graduation, Ashley spent 2 years as an Investment Banking analyst in the Consumer Products Group at Robertson Stephens in San Francisco, CA. Since 2000, Ashley has been very involved in the nonprofit world, specifically pursuing her passions for children’s health. She is

Founder and former Co-President of Ambassadors for Packard Children’s
Hospital which supports Lucile Packard Children’s hospital through
educational events, volunteering, and philanthropy. In addition, Ashley was
a member of the Joint Development Committee at Lucile Packard
Children’s Hospital for many years. In January of 2011, Ashley founded Fit
Kids and still serves as the Executive Director today. Fit Kids is a non-profit
organization that provides physical activity, movement, and mindfulness
programs at no cost to schools and after school organizations. In the 2024-
2025 school year, Fit Kids will serve over 28,000 elementary and middle
school aged children at 175 partner locations throughout the US and in
Mexico. In February of 2022 Ashley was appointed by Governor Gavin
Newsom to sit on the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Mental
Well-Being in California. Ashley is a passionate advocate of both physical
and mental health for children. Ashley has been served on various non-
profit and for-profit boards over the years, including the San Francisco
Zoological Society, Upper River Services, and she is currently member of
the Board of Directors at Fit Kids.
