Melinda Morimoto is the Senior Benefits Director at Genentech. Melinda is a thought leader in benefits with more than 30 years of experience since she graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She leads a team of strategic reward partners who design, manage and communicate leading edge benefits for over 22,000 US Genentech and Roche employees. Under her leadership, Genentech has enhanced support resources in an effort to deliver equitable and inclusive benefits for its diverse workforce. Her team strives to advance health equity to improve the health and well-being of its employees, their families and communities.

Melinda recently testified at the California Select Committee on Reproductive Health on Genentech’s menopause benefits. She was thrilled to join the White House Biden Cancer Moonshot workshop: Unlocking Strategies to Increase Workforce-Enabled Cancer Screening. Her team fulfilled Genentech’s commitment by piloting women’s health screening days in September, 2024.

Since joining Genentech, Melinda has had the honor of speaking at a number of conferences for employers on topics including “Genentech’s Guide to Cancer Care” , “Tackling Black Health Care Disparities: The Time is Now”, “A Culture That Thrives”, “Driving Benefits Equity”, “XProject - How We Live Our Values in Advancing Healthcare for Women”.
