Dr. DiCasimirro is board certified in general psychiatry by the ABPN as well the NBPAS He has been in the field for over thirty years and his clinical experience spans all levels of care. His lengthy career has also included several years working in correctional psychiatry including a stint as the statewide psychiatric director of the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections.
Bernard joined Lucet in 2018 as a regional medical director. He was named CMO in late 2020. Prior to joining Lucet, he was the Pennsylvania medical director for PerformCare, He also spent over four years as an associate medical director for Optum/United Healthcare. From 2002-2009, he was the primary psychiatric consultant for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Program Integrity.
Dr. DiCasimirro holds a Bachelor of Arts from Franklin and Marshall College in Pennsylvania. He graduated with honors from Des Moines University where he obtained his D.O.
