Dr. Kristin Russell is the Chief Medical Officer of Neighborhood Health Plan of Rhode Island. Prior to Neighborhood, Dr. Russell managed medical trend and clinical quality as an Associate Vice President at Humana. Earlier in her career, Dr. Russell was a faculty member at Harvard Medical School and attending psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is an experienced entrepreneur and has held leadership positions at several healthcare startups. Dr. Russell holds a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University, a medical degree from Columbia University, and a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She completed her residency and fellowship at MGH Brigham hospitals. Dr. Russell is board-certified in both Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and has served on several national committees with oversight over U.S. healthcare quality including the NCQA Committee on Performance Measurement.
