Mental health inequities will lead to 14 trillion in excess costs by 2040. We are in a privileged position as innovators in behavioral health to reduce costs and suffering. A lack of access and reliance on the emergency room, which was never supposed to be part of the behavioral continuum of care, disproportionately affects BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Solutions must come from innovators, providers, and payors. We will use this panel to explore potential solutions.
