The last decade has witnessed an explosion of investment in early stage companies focused on innovation in mental health. But building technology-enabled and digital solutions for mental health requires a unique blend of business and clinical disciplines. Successfully bridging the chasm between clinicians and business leaders holds the promise of producing better clinical outcomes and improved business outcomes. The better we are at interdisciplinary collaboration, the more successful we will be in achieving innovation in mental health. However, collaboration does not always come naturally and in this session, we aim to highlight the opportunities and also the challenges of integrating business and clinical disciplines in the name of better and faster clinical innovation in mental health. This session aims to: 1. Highlight the critical role of the clinician entrepreneur 2. Showcase examples of successful clinician leaders in mental health tech companies 3. Describe the real challenges of being a clinical leader in an entrepreneurial environment and present strategies for successful integration and collaboration between clinician executives and their non-clinician peers
